Online Booking System - Portal Text
All text on the online booking system can be amended to each client’s requirements.
Main Text
The main fields that are displayed (for example “Please select your start date”) are held in a record in the Portal Text object, typically on a record called Default. As soon as any changes are saved in the Portal Text record, they will appear on the Online Booking System immediately (the screen may need to be refreshed for the changes to appear).
Services & Service Options
For the text in the drop-down picklists such as the Course names, this is held on the Service in a field called Portal Name. For Service Options, the text is held on the Service Option object, again in a field called Portal Name.
Help Icons
The text for these is held in two places, depending on the route used to enter the online booking system:
If accessing the Online Booking System through the root force.com URL i.e. with no service group or specific product suffixes, then for Course, go to the Enquiry object, and enter the text in the Help Text section of the Course field. Likewise for Course Start Date, enter the text in the Help Text section of the Course Start field.
If accessing the portal through a dedicated service group or specific product URL, then the text can be configured in the Portal Text record using the two following fields:
ProductSelectionScreen HelpTextProduct
ProductSelectionScreen HelpTextStartDate
Personal Details Screen
All the fields here are held on the Enquiry record; the fields which are displayed are controlled through FieldSets, including making them compulsory or not.
Adjustments can be made to the fields and also picklist options that are displayed here, and custom fields can also be added, but please contact Schoolworks Support if you would like to make changes here and we can advise the best way forward. These fields are mapped to the Account and therefore the Account picklists need to be updated accordingly - these vary by record type. Page layouts may also need to be adjusted to give visibility of the fields; reports and list views must also be considered.
