Online Test System - Test Results Records

• This article explains how to understand the different scenarios a Test Result record may be created:

Unknown User submits the test through the Test Portal

• If the student enters their name and email address in the Test Portal, and the system does not recognise the email address as an existing Student Account, the Test Result record will look like this:

• The most common scenario here is that the student registered with one email address (on the Student Account) and then took the test with a different email address (on the Test Result record) so there is a mismatch and the system cannot link them.

• It is possible to edit the “Account” field and search for the Student Account if you are know which student it is.

Known User submits the test through the Test Portal

• If the student enters their name and email address in the Test Portal, and the system does recognise the email address as an existing Student Account, the Test Result record will look like this:

Known User submits the test through their personal URL

• If the student uses their personal URL to complete the test (always preferable), the system links their Account, Enrolment and Course Booking automatically:

  • The student does not have to enter any details when taking the test as the system already knows which student it is.
