Release 2501

[ F ] Upcoming Change: Moving from Certificate Authentication to Client Secret [MCS4-251, 252, 254, 266]

With Release 2501, we have made the first preparations to switch from certificate authentication to a client secret in the medium term.

The necessary adjustments have already been made in the admin cockpit. If a groupware connection with OAuth authentication is selected, a client secret can be maintained. The changes in the maiConnect code have also been made and are already part of the release - further tests are currently running in the background.

As soon as these are successful, we will let you know separately. The changes to the manifest that were made in the Azure portal for maiConnect can then be removed again and a client secret can be generated. This change must then be made before the certificate expires (~March 2026).

Mit Release 2501 haben wir die ersten Vorkehrungen getroffen, um mittelfristig von der Zertifkatsauthentifizierung auf ein Client Secret zu wechseln.

Die notwendigen Anpassungen im Admincockpit sind bereits erfolgt. Wird eine Groupware Verbindung mit OAuth Authentifizierung gewählt, kann hier ein Client Secret hinterlegt werden. Die Änderungen im maiConnect Code wurden ebenfalls vorgenommen und sind auch schon Teil des Releases - aktuell laufen dazu im Hintergrund noch weitere Tests.

Sobald diese erfolgreich waren, geben wir gesondert Bescheid. Dann können die Änderungen am Manifest, die im Azure Portal für maiconnect vorgenommen wurde, wieder entfernt werden und ein Client Secret kann generiert werden. Diese Änderung muss dann vor dem Auslaufen des Zertifikats (~März 2026) durchgeführt werden.

General improvements and bug fixes

Some other minor bugs have been fixed and improvements introduced to increase the stability and performance of maiConnect.
