What is SSO?
SSO is an authentication (login) method that uses one set of credentials for multiple apps and systems. With SSO, you can log in to different apps, websites, and systems without being prompted to authenticate to each one.
What SSO provider do Ligonier and RBC use?
Ligonier and RBC use Microsoft Azure as their SSO provider. In other words, your SSO credentials are your Microsoft credentials. Thatβs why you sometimes see the Ligonier Microsoft login page when attempting to log in to an SSO-enabled app:
Credentials are the username and password you use to log into a system. There are several terms that describe your main Ligonier password, including the following:
Domain password
SSO password
Microsoft password
Outlook password
What is an SSO-enabled app?
An SSO-enabled app is one that has been configured to work with your main Ligonier credentials.
How do I view the SSO-enabled apps to which I have access?
With few exceptions, you can view the SSO-enabled apps to which you have access via MyApps Portal. You should bookmark this page and use it to get to your apps quicker!
How is SSO different from reusing the same password on multiple systems?
There are many differences between SSO and reusing passwords. Here are some of the most important differences:
Whereas SSO increases the security of your SSO-enabled apps, reusing passwords reduces the security of your accounts. Never reuse passwords!
SSO allows you to automatically log in to all your SSO-enabled web apps by logging in to your SSO account once, saving you lots of time.
