Background
Frequency of completion depends on course code.
e.g. GE teacher completes every 5 weeks, 1 to 1s complete every week.
Frequency of triggers is OK.
No email alert, log into Teacher Portal, learner plans tab, Create Learner Plan - Teacher Learner Plan.
Sits in Teacher Portal until Teacher hits Publish.
Then available in Student Account
On screen, client not happy with final report presentation - CSS/layout.
Two outputs for student:
When publishing learner plans, also creates a PDF.
When subsequent reports are created, the PDF is replaced and updated with all data
Another section is displayed Confidence Markers (if student completes PCQ and feedback)
Students very interested in Learner Plan, not PDF so much, but this has issues:
It is a webpage so formatting/printing is not good.
For each component, do not want to show the full description of each banding, but instead just the description of the banding that the teacher selects.
Issues
Currently Teacher selects 1 to 9 banding. Would like to use Global Scale for each Skill. Brett already advised this would be difficult/clunky.
So decided to instruct Teachers to update the level in View Students in the Lessons screen in the Teacher Portal.
Would like to revisit possibility of integrating Global Scale.
Currently displaying on report “78 / 78” for example. This is pulling two different fields from the Level record.
Would like to remove the second field and just display the score.
Not wedded to existing PDF Learner Plan report
Pretty but not useful for Directs, but Employers/Organisations often do find it useful.
Students more interested in Learner Plans.
Happy to change to new document, but need this accessible through the Student Portal.
Shirley/Ben to check with Hauke importance of keeping existing report, bearing in mind that changes are difficult/expensive.
Needs to be a PDF document export, not email.
Possible to amend existing HTML, but would be very time-consuming/expensive to update.
Alternative options:
Build new Learner Plan and Doc Template/Formatted Report.
Question here exposing the resulting document to the Student Portal easily.
Possible to generate individually per Enrolment would do it, but would prefer an automated solution.
Problem with new document is that it won’t show progress.
Is it possible to create a new Doc Apex table to display Account Level History?
Or push values from “first” Learner Plan to Account, and “final” Learner Plan to Account, then use these fields on the Document?
Possible to use Tableau? Ben to speak to Morgan. Question over visibility of output in Student Portal.
Will need to consider Confidence Markers here.
Student completes Confidence Markers on PCQs and on Leaving Feedback.
So these values are held on two different Test Result records.
Potentially have two sets of fields on the Student Account where the results are pushed to, then Document Template could display fields.
