Site Activation & Fixed Site Activation
Introduction
The Site Activation table is used to define site activation (as number of sites by period) in a model. There are two different table headers that may be used to input this information:
Site Activation allows variability to be applied when forecasting. Outputs will include min, max, and average results.
Fixed Site Activation prevents variability from being applied, guaranteeing the numbers in the outputs will be the same as the input.

Period Start Date
Defines the start date of each site activation period. The example above uses months but note that any series of chronological dates may be used. The rate of activation for a given period is derived by dividing the site count for a given period by the number of days between the start date of the period in question and the start date of the next period.
Must be a valid date. If an invalid entry is made, a warning with the following message is shown:
No date found in '[value as specified for date]', to specify one, please use the one of the following formats '['%d-%b-%Y', '%d-%b-%Y', '%d %B %Y', '%d-%b-%Y', '%d %b %Y', '%B %Y', '%d %B %y', '%d-%b-%y', '%d %b %y', '%B %y', '%y-%b-%d', '%Y-%m-%d']'.
Site Activation Quantity
Each column must use a valid site group code as the column header. The number of sites to activate per period for that site group may be specified in each row beneath the relevant site group code. Accepts whole numbers only.
The total number of sites in any given column must match the total specified for the relevant site group as defined in the Site Groups table. If an invalid entry is made, the value in the site activation table is used and the following warning message is shown:
Table : 'Fixed Site Activation Table', Column : '[specified site group]' the number of sites defined in the site group table for [specified site group] in [specified region]: X does not match the number of total sites in its site activation plan: Y. The activation plan total will be used.
Note: The ‘activation plan total' in this message refers to the total from the Site Activations table.
A blank row will be interpreted as ‘0'. It is recommended that the table is completed with an additional period after the final row with an enrollment value so that the final period is fully defined.
