First of all, you need to decide on a server configuration. Näktergal is built up from modules that can, and should, be deployed over several servers.

Minimally we recommend a three server setup, see info panel. However, if performance or security concerns warrants it, any module or group of modules can be moved to a separate server.

Once you have decided on a server setup, follow the steps below.

Step-by-step

1. Make sure that all servers are the right versions.

2. Install all app and web servers required.

3. Install all database servers required.

4. Configure IIS on your app and web servers.

5. Perform the final steps.
