Minimal and additional depot safety stock
Introduction
Depot safety stocks (= depot buffer) are the inventory level which is added to demand when depot resupply shipments quantities are computed. Depot safety stocks are calculated dynamically for each period. In addition, users can manually set depot safety stock levels in a dedicated table as minimal and additional buffer.
Notes
Refer to the forecast calculation documentation section depot demand forecasting for more details on how depot buffers are calculated.
