4C Supply® User Manual
Executive Summary
This manual is intended as reference material to support users in calculating forecasts with 4C Supply®. The sections of this document cover the main steps in the demand forecasting process:
1. Build Model
The SMART Editor section of the 4C Supply® User Manual provides reference materials to specify study designs in 4C Supply®. It covers the main scenario specification components:
the patient journey,
the patient population over space and time,
the distribution network and
the product.
2. Verify Inputs
The Input section of the 4C Supply® User Manual explains how to use the input screens to verify that the scenario specification was interpreted as expected.
3. Run Forecast
The Calculation section of the 4C Supply® User Manual explains how to configure a forecast and explains on a high level how the 4C Supply® forecast algorithm uses the specified scenario to generate a demand and supply forecast and provides reference material to troubleshoot forecast calculation warnings and errors.
4. Review Results
The Output section of the 4C Supply® User Manual guides the user in how to use the output reports and explains the data in the output reports in detail.
5. Refine Model
Once your study is live and the RTSM Data becomes available, you can integrate this into your model and run an updated forecast, the 4C Supply team will support this process. The RTSM actuals integration specification defines the format RTSM actuals extract files have to comply with to be used successfully in 4C Supply®.
Compare Scenarios
The Scenario Comparison section of the 4C Supply® User Manual introduces the different scenario comparison reports and explains in detail how to use them.
Aggregate data across scenarios
Last but not least, the Aggregation section of the 4C Supply® User Manual explains how to aggregate data across studies and visualize it on e.g. the compound level.
